IN THIS EPISODE:

My heart breaks as I listen to this episode now, seeing my frustration back then. The "Sterling" house with the guest house I was all excited about turned out to be a total pit. It was a junkyard worse than Sanford & Son. Thankfully I didn't waste the trip, because I arranged to meet Barb and her two rental homes. You might remember my last episode where I got a call from the Ogemaw County Sheriff about my "suspicious activity." Well, I didn't know it then, but Barb is super paranoid and she was the one that called the sheriff on me. She's the one with two homes for sale (and would also consider renting). When I first met her, I thought she was great. We had coffee together, and while one of her homes wasn't a good fit, one of them was stunning. But neither would be right for us. This woman would play games with me over the coming weeks as you'll soon find out, and will have a prejudice against Gunner. At the end of this recording, I'm just so frustrated. I don't know what I'm supposed to do, where I'm supposed to go, or what my future holds. All I wanted was a home. A place that I loved, that would meet our needs and allow us to have company up to stay while enjoying land and trails and woods. But as I said at the end, I was about as lost as a person could be at that point.
