IN THIS EPISODE:

I had to record a little preface to this episode, because clearly I lost a couple of files. Whatever happened to my recording for Saturday, November 14th I have no clue. That missing day was the day I went out to look at that barn house, and unfortunately it just did not work out. The owners wanted to sell outright, and I wasn't in a position for that. Plus, there was no cell service or internet, which wouldn't work. So, I had to eat a lot of crow, apologize to my landlord, and pay my late fees and rent so I could stay on. The hardest part for me was trying to reconcile why I went through that, and more importantly, how I came out the loser at the end of it all. I could only surmise that God wanted me to learn the lesson that rules should not be broken. And even though I was not a rule breaker, Gunner was. I knew that when he paroled home, he was not going to be able to break a single rule if he wanted to succeed after prison. And I had to help him with that. No matter how much emotions play into a situation, you always have to follow the rules. Well, almost always. =)

Also at the end of this audio clip I reference our friend that I had the big fight with. He had checked in a few times when I told him about the foreclosure situation with my rental, and I had appreciates his wisdom and advice. But it was clear that our friendship wasn't going to be repaired. In the end, I was just exhausted from it all, and was ready to move on from all of it.
