Sorry for the delay, folks. We had nice weather this week, and Gunner and I played outside every moment we could!

IN THIS EPISODE:

This one's a doozy. First I start off by talking about the power of positive thinking and affirmations, and how I use essential oils for aromatherapy. Ultimately, I believe in the power of prayer far more than I believer in the power of positive thinking, but regardless, the timing was perfect for a big order to finally land at work.

Then I talk about a phone call I had with the central medical complaint department in Lansing, our state capitol (and where all the Michigan Department of Corrections offices are headquartered). The nice but not especially helpful gal on the phone told me that they want to try "alternative therapies" on Gunner first before approving him for surgery. This was super frustrating, because they hadn't actually tried ANY therapies yet on the poor guy, and he was suffering.

Finally, I continue to butt heads with my butt head landlord who insisted I was still obligated to pay my rent, and that the tax foreclosure issue was none of my business. I consulted a few friends who gave me some helpful advice, and then talked to my landlord's father who lived nearby and was the local caretaker/liaison for the home. He'd stop by to pick up money for the electric bill and seemed completely oblivious to the foreclosure. I let him know his son was going to lose the house and a good tenant if things didn't get resolved quickly.
